The Governor’s new statewide outdoor mask mandate is effective August 27, 2021, and requires masks for all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, in outdoor settings in which individuals from different households are unable to consistently maintain physical distance. This applies to Aloha Youth Football in the following ways.
• Players are not required to wear a mask indoors or outdoors when practicing or playing a competitive sport at any level, including cheerleading and dance/drill. Students not actively participating (i.e., on the sideline, checking in, weighing in, etc.) are required to wear a mask.
• Coaches and support staff, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask during outdoor practices and competitions when 6’ of physical distance cannot be maintained.
• Spectators (5 years or older) are required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status, at outdoor practices and competitions when 6’ of physical distance cannot be maintained.
At this time, capacity limits are not mandated for indoor or outdoor events but increased physical distancing and ventilation can help limit the possibility of spread, especially when case counts are high in the community.
These may change at any time and some facilities might be more restrictive.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,
Aloha Youth Football
Aloha Youth Football is a non-profit volunteer run organization devoted to our youth and the Aloha community.
Our football program exists for our players. As coaches, we are responsible for preparing each individual to become the best football player they can be. With that said, Football is a microcosm of life. The most successful people in life exhibit discipline, a strong work ethic, loyalty, and teamwork. We demand that our Coaches help in aiding and empowering our players to become the best contributing citizens within our society. We use Football as the vehicle to teach life skills. We teach our players to set a vision for themselves and their teammates. The programs ultimate purpose is to have each student-athlete leave with a superior education catapulting them into the rest of their life—as a responsible and contributing person in our society.
